Apprentice of the Year 2020 – East Midlands Chamber
It is always amazing when one of the apprentices we helped to hire goes on to achieve great things.
In 2019, we worked with Soar Valley Press to recruit a new marketing apprentice for them via an assessment centre recruitment process.
Pippa Culverwell stood out from the word go…
She had very clearly done her research. She knew as much as she could about Soar Valley, their products, customers, their current marketing approach. She displayed a positive attitude, determination and a desire to succeed. Everything you hope to see from an assessment centre candidate.
She got the job and has gone from strength to strength, now being announced as East Midlands Chamber, Apprentice of the Year 2020.
She was entered into the awards by Soar Valley’s Managing Director, Chris Goodman. Chris had this to say,
“Pippa has been instrumental in building our social media presence, website and blog, so we’re thrilled that she was able to take home the win in this year’s chamber awards.”.
We are delighted for Pippa. She highlights the talent that can be found from an assessment centre process and the things you can achieve with the right outlook.
We would also like to extend our congratulations for being shortlisted for this award to:
We await news in February 2021, for another award Pippa has been shortlisted for. Her college nominated her for ‘Student of the Year’ for the Association of Colleges’ Student of the Year Awards. Good luck Pippa from all of us at Salad Skills!
